I have lived in Hamilton for over 30 years and I am married with two grown up children. I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences Applied in Counselling. It is a job I love and feel fortunate to have people trust me with their challenges and let me be alongside them as they achieve their goals. About me I have always been actively involved in community organisations. I volunteered with Hospice supporting families for 10 years and volunteering at Lifeline, I have completed in ASIST Training (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). I know the impact of dealing with mental illness in a family and find supporting families members with this challenge rewarding. Being a full member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors I work in accordance with the professional associations Code of Ethics. MNZAC BAppSocSci(couns)
