The Albany Veterinary Hospital first started in Library Lane in Albany Village and moved to its current location at 416 Albany Highway in 1994.Dr Grant McCullough has owned the clinic for the whole of its life and veterinary nurse superstar Paula Thoms has been here from the beginning. She has been the go to for all the nurses and vets coming through the clinic throughout the years.

BirdCare Aotearoa is a registered charity dedicated to providing care and rehabilitation for sick, injured, and orphaned wild birds. Based in Green Bay, Auckland, we are the largest avian hospital and rehabilitation centre in Aotearoa New Zealand by the sheer number of birds cared for, admitting over 6,500 birds every year. Most birds are brought to us by members of the public, as well as by the SPCA, Department of Conservation, Auckland Council, Fish & Game New Zealand, veterinary clinics, and other wildlife rehabilitators.

This companion animal dermatology service was started by Duncan Graham BVSc BSc (Hons) in 2001 when he left general veterinary practice to concentrate solely on companion animal skin issues. Duncan brings more than 20 years’ experience to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic allergic skin conditions, recurrent ear infections, and any unusual presentations of a dermatological nature.  ​​ Duncan travels from Nelson weekly or fortnightly to Wellington/ Te Whanganui-a-Tara where he sees cases referred by local veterinarians at two convenient locations: Pet Doctors Thorndon in the Capital Gateway on Thorndon Quay and Rappaw Central Veterinary Hospital, Kenepuru Drive, in Porirua.

Jake graduated from Massey University in 2013 and went on to complete a small animal rotating internship in Queensland, Australia. He returned to Auckland in 2014 where he continued to work with companion animals as an emergency and critical care veterinarian at Auckland's premier after-hours and specialist hospital.After four years of helping pets and owners throughout Auckland, he became an Official Veterinarian with the New Zealand government in 2018, where he has successfully certified thousands of pets for travel to a diverse range of countries. Jake has a solid foundation of knowledge when it comes to the ins and outs of pet export certification and its requirements, and is ready to assist pets and owners in their preparation for travel overseas.
