Click here Grief Relief provides support and education in the home, community and workplace for individuals and groups, large and small. The what, how and where varies according to each client’s unique needs and circumstances. Grief Relief works with mature and young adults grieving a loss of any kind as well those in personal and professional support roles. Support for children is provided by working with parents and caregivers. This is a mobile service delivered in your own home, community or workplace with phone and Skype over distance. Education in the community and workplace is delivered by presentations, facilitated conversations and workshops.

The life experiences of peer-workers create common ground from which the trust relationship with the person is formed. Empowerment, empathy, hope and choice along with mutuality are the main drivers in peer support work. There is a great deal of strength gained from knowing someone who has walked where you are walking and now has a life of their choosing. It is led by a trained peer worker, and not a professional therapist, although counsellors and/or social workers may have some involvement with the agreement of the survivor.
