Southern Service Station is an independently owned Mobil Franchised Fuel retailer and MTA assured accredited automotive service centre. It is a family business currently owned by Sean and Marie Irvine since 1990 and previously owned by Sean’s parents Kevin and Margaret since 1968. The business is located close to South City Mall in South Invercargill. Sean completed his automotive apprenticeship at the service station in 1983, training on a wide range of motor vehicles and light commercials. Sean’s out of work interests are rugby, having been a Southland Referee for the last 23 years, golf, boating, skiing, motor racing and just about any other outdoor activity. Marie is currently Southland Hospital’s Children’s Ward manager having been a registered nurse since 1983.
